Concept
In the 18th century, this city was created by the leader of the Gond tribes.
They are a large clan of people with a typical Dravidian origin.
The Gonds are accomplished artisans and performers.
Gond art rendezvous with the belief that "viewing a good image begets good luck".
Horses, elephants, tigers, trees, birds, Gods, men, and objects of daily life are the main subjects of Gond art.
These features have been replicated on the perforated sheet in this station to represent the ethnicity of Nagpur.
