The elevation of this station mimics the elevation of the Sanchi Stupa.
Many features of Buddhist Architecture have been incorporated into the outlook of the station.
The entry to the station is similar to “Torana” (gateway structure in Stupa) with a colonnade on either side.
The glass dome in the station is identical to the Stupa dome topped with a “Chatra” (parasol structure).
The stone louvers and cladding add to the depth of the station facade.
The roof is also decked with solar panels to improve the energy performance of the station
